The anime Kimetsu no Yaiba is based on the manga by Gotouge Koyoharu, which was serialized in Shueisha’s “Jump Comics” and has surpassed 150 million copies in cumulative circulation across 23 volumes. The story follows Kamado Tanjirou, a young boy whose family is killed by a demon, as he joins the Demon Slayer Corps (Kisatsutai) to turn his sister, Nezuko, who has become a demon, back into a human, throwing himself into battle against demons. The series is popular for its poignant tale of humans and demons, its breathtaking sword fighting, its captivating characters, and the comical scenes interspersed throughout.

The Anime Adaptation and The Infinity Castle Arc Films

The anime, produced by ufotable, has expanded its series since its start with Televi Anime Kimetsu no Yaiba: Kamado Tanjirou Risshi-hen in April 2019. Following Televi Anime Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hashira Geiko-hen, which aired from May 2024, the story continues in Gekijouban Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen-jou-hen (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie – Infinity Castle Arc), which is being produced as a three-part film series. The first chapter, “Dai Isshou Akaza Sairai” (Chapter One: Akaza’s Reappearance), is set to open on July 18, 2025. Set in the “Mugen Jou” (Infinity Castle), the demons’ stronghold where Tanjirou and his companions fell, the film will ignite the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons.

This collaboration project between the series and “Meiji Oishii Gyuunyuu” is the fifth of its kind. The key visual for this fifth installment features newly drawn illustrations of the four characters—Kamado Tanjirou, Kamado Nezuko, Agatsuma Zenitsu, and Hashibira Inosuke—appearing as the “Meiji Oishii Gyuunyuu Tai” under the message of concentrating fully on deliciousness.
