Get Ready for More Paranormal Shenanigans! ‘Dekin no Mogura’ Episode 2 Synopsis and Preview Cuts Released

Prepare yourselves! From the TV anime `Dekin no Mogura`, the synopsis and preview cuts for Episode 2, titled “Ghosts = Humans”, which is set to air starting July 14, 2025 (Monday), have been unveiled.

`Dekin no Mogura` is based on the manga by Eguchi Natsumi, serialized in Kodansha’s `Morning`. Eguchi Natsumi is also well-known for `Hohozuki no Reitetsu`. This series is a “Kaiki x Comedy” (Strange x Comedy) that delves into the bizarre and amusing mysteries of “this world” where “people” and “spirits” intersect. The anime adaptation is produced by Bureinzubesu, with Ishiodori Hiroshi directing. The voice cast features Nakamura Yuuichi as Mogura , Oogawa Genki as Makiguri Ken, and Fujii Yukiyo as Kirihara Yaeko, alongside Fujita Akane, Murase Ayumu, Takeuchi Shunsuke, Tanezaki Atsumi, Toyosaki Aki, and Mafia Kajita.

The self-proclaimed hermit known as Mogura, whose true name is Hyaku An Momogi, has, for some reason, been banned from the afterlife. He aims to return there by collecting the “lights” held by ghosts into his lantern. Apparently, meeting him makes you start seeing strange things. The story, a truly “Fushigi” (pronounced like ‘mysterious’, but written with characters meaning ‘immortal debate’) one, begins with the fateful encounter between Mogura and university students Makiguri Ken and Kirihara Yaeko.

Episode 2 “Ghosts = Humans” Synopsis

Mogura recounts how he once saw hell after being drafted into war. His goal is to gather light in his lantern once again and reach the afterlife.

A few days later, Mogura receives a consultation from the two and visits Inukai Shio-san, Yaeko’s coworker from her part-time job, who is shown in a spirit photo.

Mogura successfully drives away the ghost clinging to her and manages to collect the light… but then what happens?

The second episode of the summer anime `Dekin no Mogura`, “Ghosts = Humans”, will begin airing sequentially from July 14 (Monday) at 22:00 on TOKYO MX, BS11, and Sun TV.
