About CLAMP: The Creative Powerhouse

CLAMP is a celebrated creative collective comprised of four incredibly talented members: Igarashi Satsuki, Ookawa Nanase, Nekoi, and Mokona. Since their commercial debut in 1989, they have captivated audiences worldwide with iconic works such as Mahou Kishi Rayearth (also known as Magic Knight Rayearth) and Cardcaptor Sakura. Their influence extends beyond manga; CLAMP has contributed original character designs to popular anime series like the Code Geass series. They also collaborated with Production I.G on the BLOOD-C series, handling its series composition and script. Furthermore, for their beloved original work, Cardcaptor Sakura, they were responsible for the series composition, script, and even the charming costume designs. Their prolific body of work, characterized by an overwhelming creative power and a truly unique worldview, transcends traditional genre boundaries, captivating fans of shounen, shoujo, and seinen alike. “CLAMP ten -SELECTION-“: A Journey Through Art

The original “CLAMP ten” exhibition first opened its doors at The National Art Center, Tokyo, in July 2024, as a magnificent celebration of CLAMP’s 35th anniversary in their artistic career. “CLAMP ten -SELECTION-” emerged from a heartfelt desire to share the numerous captivating artworks and exhibits from that grand event with an even wider audience. To ensure the delicate preservation of the original masterpieces, the displayed original drawings in this touring exhibition are primarily high-quality reproductions. Additionally, the exhibition content will be thoughtfully adjusted in part to suit the unique characteristics of each venue across the country.
