At the 18th Nihonbashi Street Festa 2025 Naniwa-ku EXPO, held on May 18, 2025, in Osaka, we had the pleasure of encountering pochipi.-san, who captivated attendees with her stunning cosplay of C.C. from Code Geass Hangyaku no Lelouch R2. —Thank you for agreeing to this interview. What motivated you to cosplay C.C. from Code Geass Hangyaku no Lelouch R2 this time?
pochipi.-san: Thank you for reaching out! This was actually my first time participating in StoFes (Nihonbashi Street Festa), and I heard that people of various ages and even international visitors were really looking forward to it. So, I thought it would be wonderful if many attendees could recognize the character and enjoy the event even more. That’s why I chose C.C., a character I personally adore and who is widely recognized.
—What specific aspects did you want to express or pay particular attention to in this cosplay?
pochipi.: I focused on my posing, hoping to convey both C.C.’s adorable, cute side and her strong, unyielding core. As for the costume, I refined it while imagining how the actual outfit would translate and look in a three-dimensional space.
—What do you find most captivating about Code Geass?
pochipi.: I absolutely adore stories with deeper, more serious themes, so Code Geass profoundly resonated with me. I hadn’t really delved into robot anime before, so I initially wondered if I’d be able to watch all the episodes. But I was incredibly moved by the emotional storyline, the plethora of captivating characters that made it impossible to pick a single favorite, the narrative’s overall coherence, and the sheer intensity of the battles. It’s a truly well-crafted masterpiece overall. Seriously, it’s a must-watch for everyone!
—Could you share any updates on your activities or future cosplay aspirations?
pochipi.: While I don’t participate in cosplay events very often, I had such a wonderful time at StoFes that I’d love to attend again if the opportunity arises. I’m hoping to broaden my cosplay horizons, tackling characters I love, like Suzumiya Haruhi and Senjougahara Hitagi, as well as characters that people suggest might suit me and that I then fall in love with after researching them.

A Transparent and Captivating C.C.
Pochipi.-san brilliantly captured the enigmatic transparency of C.C., a character often called a witch yet who occasionally reveals a childlike charm. Her portrayal was truly magnificent. We eagerly anticipate which fascinating character she will challenge herself with next!
