Nagisa Kaoru continues to captivate countless fans with his enigmatic character and profound presence within the `Evangelion` series. Now, for the first time ever, an exhibition focusing exclusively on him has been announced!

About `Evangelion` and Nagisa Kaoru

In 1995, Anno Hideaki unleashed `Shin Seiki Evangelion` upon the world as a 26-episode TV anime series. This science fiction anime, depicting the battles of young boys and girls piloting colossal humanoid combat weapons against mysterious “Angels” (Shito), captivated a massive fanbase with its grand worldview and meticulously crafted intricate settings. Its subsequent media expansion into comics, films, and games quickly sparked a social phenomenon.

In 2021, the series’ conclusive film, `Shin Evangelion Gekijouban`, was released, becoming the biggest hit in the series’ history with box office revenue of 10.28 billion yen.

Nagisa Kaoru, a key character in this iconic series, is a mysterious boy who awakens on the moon and converses with SEELE. This exhibition promises to fully convey his profound charm and depth through rare materials and pivotal scenes from the TV series, original theatrical films, and the New Theatrical Edition films.

Exhibition Highlights & Merchandise

The venue will feature photo spots and standee panels recreating Kaoru’s most iconic scenes, creating an immersive space where visitors can fully dive into the world of the series.

The event will be held from September 12th to October 13th, 2025, at animate Ikebukuro Honten 8F. Furthermore, it is also planned to be held at venues in Osaka and Kyoto subsequently. Tickets for the Tokyo venue will go on sale starting August 16th at 10:00 AM via eplus.
