It has been announced that voice actress Toyosaki Aki, widely known for her role as Hirasawa Yui in `Keion!` and as a member of the super girl unit `Sphere`, will be limiting some of her activities. This decision comes in response to the passing of her spouse, as revealed by her agency, Music Ray’n, through Toyosaki’s official website and other channels on August 15, 2025.
Music Ray’n released a statement titled “Report Regarding Toyosaki Aki,” which detailed the unfortunate circumstances: “Last month, Toyosaki Aki’s spouse was urgently hospitalized due to a subarachnoid hemorrhage and passed away at the hospital. In light of this situation, and following discussions with Toyosaki Aki herself, we have decided to limit some of her activities.” The agency also provided an update on Toyosaki’s current state, stating, “Currently, she is receiving support from specialized organizations and is working towards returning to her regular activities.” They earnestly requested, “We would be grateful if you could kindly watch over her with warmth.”
Naturally, these changes have led to adjustments in various events where Toyosaki Aki was scheduled to appear.
- Her appearance at “Animelo Summer Live 2025 "ThanXX!"” on August 30 has been cancelled. Instead, `Sphere` will perform with its remaining three members: Kotobuki Minako, Takagaki Ayahi, and Tomatsu Haruka.
- For the stage event “The World of `CITY THE ANIMATION`” within the “7th Kyoto Animation Fan Appreciation Event ‘We Are Now!! -Kyoto Animation’s World Exhibition-‘” on October 26, her appearance is currently under adjustment.
Music Ray’n expressed their apologies for any inconvenience caused: “We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to her appearances and ask for your understanding.” The announcement concluded with a heartfelt message: “We kindly ask for your continued support of Toyosaki Aki and `Sphere`.”

Toyosaki Aki was born on October 28, 1986, in Tokushima Prefecture. She made her debut as a voice actress in 2006. Some of her most notable roles include Hirasawa Yui in `Keion!`, Uiharu Kazari in `Toaru Kagaku no Railgun`, and Inuyama Aoi in `Yuru Camp△`.
