Tokyo Disney Resort is currently offering its “Early Evening Passport” for entry after 3:00 PM on holidays and the “Weeknight Passport” for entry after 5:00 PM on weekdays, both available daily until September 15th (Monday). We recently visited Tokyo DisneySea during these cooler evening hours, a perfect escape from the midday heat!

Before diving into the park’s exciting offerings, let’s take a moment to appreciate the vibrant atmosphere captured in these images. They perfectly encapsulate the spirit of late summer at Tokyo DisneySea, showcasing everything from the concluding “Big Band Beat” event to the overall festive mood.

A Whimsical Evening in the Enchanting New Area: Fantasy Springs!

Celebrating its 24th anniversary, Tokyo DisneySea continues to draw huge crowds to its eighth theme port, “Fantasy Springs,” which opened last year and remains incredibly popular. While “Rapunzel no Lantern Festival” is currently paused until September 16th (Tuesday), you can still enjoy other beloved attractions like “Ana to Elsa no Frozen Journey,” “Peter Pan no Neverland Adventure,” and “Fairy Tinkerbell no Busy Buggy.”

Initially, there were entry restrictions to the area itself, but now, over a year since its grand opening, anyone can freely enter and enjoy the attractions via standby lines. During our visit, we entered at 3:00 PM and had a fantastic time, experiencing “Peter Pan no Neverland Adventure” twice and “Ana to Elsa no Frozen Journey” once, all through standby! As the temperature dropped and the evening cooled, the new area transformed into a beautifully lit, fantastical wonderland. Now, in the late summer, is the perfect time to immerse yourself in the magic of “Fantasy Springs.”

A Fond Farewell and Celebration: “We Love Big Band Beat” Event!

Also at Tokyo DisneySea, a special event called “We Love Big Band Beat” is currently underway. This event celebrates “Big Band Beat,” a beloved entertainment show that has captivated countless guests for approximately 20 years and will conclude its run on September 30th (Tuesday). To commemorate its grand finale, special limited-time merchandise and menu items are available. Additionally, the area around the “Broadway Music Theater” in the American Waterfront is adorned with banners and posters, allowing guests to reflect on their cherished memories of this iconic show before it bows out.

Nearby, at the New York Deli, we had the pleasure of tasting the special drink “Sparkling Drink (Coca-Cola & Apple)” (750 yen), inspired by Mickey Mouse’s tailcoat! The delightful fizz of the carbonation and the popping sensation of the chocolate pieces truly brought back the excitement of the show. This special drink is also only available until September 30th (Tuesday), so don’t miss out!

Soaring to New Heights: The Brand New Show, “Dreams Take Flight”!

This summer, a new show, “Dreams Take Flight,” also premiered at the Hangar Stage in Lost River Delta. Set in an airplane factory, the story vibrantly depicts a day where Mickey Mouse and his Disney companions work together to build an airplane, all through rhythmic songs and dances. This new entertainment program marks the return of a permanent stage show to the Hangar Stage after about five years, following a period where only past highlight programs were performed since the pandemic. The best part? This show is not seasonal, so you can take your time and enjoy it any time of the year!

A Sweet and Crunchy Delight: Our Top Snack Recommendation!

For a fantastic snack recommendation for summer and autumn, we tried the “Strawberry & Balsamico no Granita” (900 yen)! According to Fushijima Natsumi-san from Oriental Land Co., Ltd.’s Food Sales Department, the key development point was creating “a strawberry-flavored ice base that even children can easily enjoy. On top, we’ve added crispy, thin baked cookies and whipped cream, allowing for both texture and sweetness to be savored.” With its cute Mickey-shape chocolate, it’s a treat that perfectly embodies Disney charm! This delightful, crunchy, and sweet “Strawberry & Balsamico no Granita” is available at Gondolier Snacks until October 31st (Friday).

Beat the Heat: Summer Events Still Going Strong at Dockside Stage!

The summer event, “Summer Cool-off at Tokyo Disney Resort,” is still running until September 15th (Monday), the last day the special limited-time passports mentioned at the beginning are valid. Currently, the “Dockside Splash Remix,” a temporary entertainment show performed in the evenings at and around the Dockside Stage in the American Waterfront, is incredibly popular! Mickey Mouse and his Disney companions host a vibrant dance festival, using cool music and dance to blow away the summer heat!

Spooky Surprises Await! Unveiling New Elements for Disney Halloween!

Tokyo DisneySea will host its special event, “Disney Halloween,” from September 17th (Wednesday) to October 31st (Friday)! This year, Tokyo DisneySea introduces exciting new elements, including the debut of “Lasos de la Familia” in Lost River Delta. Inspired by the traditional Mexican culture of “Dia de los Muertos” (meaning “Day of the Dead” in Spanish), as depicted in Disney & Pixar’s film *Remember Me*, the area around the “Puente Buena Vista” bridge in Lost River Delta will be beautifully decorated with colorful skeletons and marigold flowers. Guests can enjoy lively mariachi music, atmospheric entertainment, and special menu items. The full details are set to be revealed soon!
