Get Ready for Episode 22 of Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru Season 2!
Get ready, anime fans! The highly anticipated 22nd episode of the Summer 2025 anime, Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru Season 2 (also known as My Dress-Up Darling Season 2), is set to air starting September 6th (Saturday). Ahead of its broadcast, an exciting synopsis and several sneak peek scene cuts have been unveiled, promising another delightful installment for fans.
Unveiling the World of Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru

Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru is a captivating “cos-kyun story” (a heartwarming tale centered around cosplay and romance), based on the manga by Fukuda Shinichi. Serialized in Square Enix’s “Young Gangan” and “Manga UP!”, the series has achieved immense popularity, boasting over 13 million copies in circulation.
The story charmingly illustrates the deepening bond between two seemingly opposite high school students. On one side, we have Gojou Wakana, a diligent young man aspiring to become a kashirashi (a craftsman who makes the heads for Hina Dolls). Wakana is rather out of touch with modern trends and struggles to fit in with his classmates. On the other side is Kitagawa Marin, a vibrant and popular girl who is the life of the class. Their unexpected encounter one day sparks a unique connection, leading them to explore and grow through the exciting world of cosplay.
The TV anime adaptation is brought to life by the renowned studio CloverWorks, under the direction of Shinohara Keisuke. Naochi Hina lends her voice to the energetic Kitagawa Marin, while Ishige Shouya voices the earnest Gojou Wakana.
Season 2 marks a highly anticipated return, approximately three years after the initial Season 1 aired from January to March 2022. In this new season, Marin and Wakana continue their journey with countless cosplay ideas and costume designs they are eager to create. Their world expands further through interactions with classmates and the forging of new bonds with fellow cosplay enthusiasts. A burning question on every fan’s mind: will Marin’s heart-pounding feelings for Wakana finally lead to a significant romantic development?
Episode 22: “Are We Doing Everything Now!?” Synopsis
A sudden train service suspension leaves Wakana stranded, unable to return home. Worried for him, Marin successfully persuades him to stay over at the Kitagawa residence for the night. This unexpected overnight event naturally excites Marin, but her heart races even more when Wakana casually drops a bombshell during their shopping trip: “I don’t plan on sleeping tonight!” What could possibly happen between these two in this intimate setting? Fans won’t want to miss a single moment!
