Gekijouban Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (Assassination Classroom The Movie) Set for March 20, 2026 Release! Voice Cast Returns & Completely New Production of Unanimated Episodes

The production of a brand-new theatrical film for the anime **Ansatsu Kyoushitsu** (Assassination Classroom) has been decided! Titled **Gekijouban “Ansatsu Kyoushitsu” Minna no Jikan** (Assassination Classroom the Movie: Everyone’s Time), the film is slated for a nationwide release on March 20, 2026.

About Ansatsu Kyoushitsu

**Ansatsu Kyoushitsu** is based on the popular manga by Matsui Yuusei, which was serialized in “Weekly Shounen Jump” from 2012 to 2016. The comic series has boasted over 27 million copies in circulation. The TV anime adaptation first aired in 2015, and currently, a special project titled “Anime Ansatsu Kyoushitsu 10-Shuunen no Jikan” (Anime Assassination Classroom 10th Anniversary Time) is underway to celebrate its tenth anniversary.

The New Film: Gekijouban “Ansatsu Kyoushitsu” Minna no Jikan

As the grand finale of the anniversary celebration, the new film, **Gekijouban “Ansatsu Kyoushitsu” Minna no Jikan**, has been announced! What’s truly exciting is that this movie will feature completely new animation, adapting never-before-animated episodes from the original manga.

Along with the announcement, a teaser visual and a special report video have been unveiled.

The teaser visual depicts Shiota Nagisa and Akabane Karma walking down the corridor of the old school building, which is adorned with illustrations from the TV anime and past events. This visual beautifully encapsulates the rich history of the series while building immense anticipation for the upcoming film. The special report video, narrated by Koro-sensei himself, also provides a sneak peek with newly animated cuts that fans are sure to love.

Main Staff and Cast

The main staff for the movie has also been revealed. Kitamura Masaki, a veteran from Sunrise, will make his directorial debut for a theatrical film with this project. The script will be penned by Uezo Makoto, who previously handled series composition and scriptwriting for the TV anime. Character design will be overseen by Hinogami Aya. Enthusiastic fans will be delighted to know that the beloved cast from the TV series will be reprising their roles!

Regarding the movie, Director Kitamura Masaki shared his hopes, saying, “Above all, I would be most pleased if, after watching, everyone thinks, ‘I really do love Ansatsu Kyoushitsu!'”

Starting September 19, Muvitike cards will be available for purchase at theaters nationwide. As a special bonus, each card will come with one random double-sided illustration card (from a total of four types) featuring newly drawn artwork. These cards are designed to fit perfectly on the back of your smartphone. The reverse side of the card will also feature unique dialogue screens, offering exchanges between the students that can only be read here, complementing the artwork.

I am truly overjoyed to be able to bring this classroom back to all of you who have loved “Ansatsu Kyoushitsu” for so long.
While inheriting the unique atmosphere that Director Kishi cherished, I aimed to add the kind of impact and new facets only possible in a theatrical film.
Above all, I would be most pleased if, after watching, everyone thinks, “I really do love Ansatsu Kyoushitsu!”

Screenwriter: Uezo Makoto

This was back when I was still a promising supernova as a screenwriter.
I remember feeling incredibly honored and nervous to be entrusted with the significant role of series composition for a Weekly Shounen Jump title.
With thorough preparation, full enthusiasm, and perfect collaboration with Matsui Yuusei-sensei, the “Ansatsu Kyoushitsu” project was a great success.
However, naturally, creations come with constraints, so there were always things I wished I could have done.
Ten years have passed since then, and yes, that’s right, we’re doing all those things now!
This film is meant to make the anime “Ansatsu Kyoushitsu” complete. Rest assured, it’s a completely new work!
