About Kimetsu no Yaiba

The anime phenomenon, Kimetsu no Yaiba (also known as Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba), is based on the manga by Gotouge Koyoharu, which has sold over 220 million copies across 23 volumes published by Shueisha’s Jump Comics. The captivating story follows Kamado Tanjirou, a young boy whose family is tragically slain by demons, and his sister, Nezuko, is turned into one. To restore his sister’s humanity, Tanjirou joins the legendary Demon Slayer Corps, plunging himself into a perilous battle against terrifying demons.

The series has garnered immense popularity for its poignant narrative exploring the bonds between humans and demons, its breathtaking and intense sword-fighting sequences, a cast of deeply charismatic characters, and the occasional, much-loved comedic moments that offer a lighthearted contrast to the often dark storyline.

The Mugenjo-hen Film Series

The anime series, expertly produced by the renowned animation studio ufotable, began its run in April 2019 with TV Anime Kimetsu no Yaiba: Kamado Tanjirou Risshi-hen (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc). Building on its immense success, it has been officially confirmed that the Gekijouban Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugenjo-hen saga will be a spectacular three-part film series. The first installment, Dai-issho Akaza Sairai (Chapter One: Akaza’s Return), premiered on July 18, plunging viewers into the heart of the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons, set within the demons’ ominous stronghold, the Mugenjo (Infinity Castle).
