The anime is a vibrant adaptation of Hiru Kuma’s original comedy fantasy light novel series. Later that same year, in August, **Kadokawa** began publishing the light novel with charming illustrations by Itsuwa Katou under their Sneaker Bunko imprint. The fourth volume of the light novel was released on July 1st, continuing the printed saga.
Beyond the light novel, the quirky world of Boxxo also branched out into a manga adaptation. Kunieda started drawing this delightful series in **Dengeki Daioh** in August, with **Kadokawa** releasing the second volume of the manga in March 2023.
For international fans, Yen Press has licensed both the light novel and manga for English release. The third and final volume of the English light novel was published in December 2018, while the second volume of the English manga shipped in March 2024.

There, she officially names him Boxxo. Despite his inability to speak with the villagers, Boxxo quickly becomes an invaluable part of the community. His diverse goods provide much-needed nourishment, and as he gains new abilities and products, he transforms into an essential fixture of daily life. Among all his customers, none is as loyal or dear to Boxxo as Lammis, his first and best friend. As they spend more time together, Boxxo endeavors to help Lammis hone her skills as a young hunter, proving that even a vending machine can be a vital companion in a world full of magic and monsters.
