Ireisu, the six-member 2.5D idol group under VOISING, announced on October 9 during a livestream marking its sixth anniversary that members Riura and Yuusuke will begin live-action activities. The decision was made after discussions and in response to the members’ own wishes, with the group emphasizing that this does not replace its illustrated visual identity.

Formed on October 9, 2020, Ireisu has built its activities around online-first content such as cover videos, original songs, and livestreams, while also expanding into real-life concerts and corporate collaborations. The new live-action work will be limited to Riura and Yuusuke for now. Other members are not being asked to make the same choice, and each will decide his own timing for how to express himself.
The group clarified that original songs, utaite cover videos, and music videos will continue to be produced primarily with illustration-based visuals. There will also be no change to streaming style or group activity policy.
Management also asked fans to refrain from prying into members’ private lives, trying to identify their homes or movements, or taking and posting photos without permission.
Riura: Acting and Face-Forward Social Media

Riura said he has decided to show his face in future activities. He will focus on TikTok and other social media posts as well as acting, and he has been taking acting lessons for about a year. Having struggled with the limits of expressing what he wants to convey while hiding his face, he now wants to use all of his strengths and individuality.
He added that illustrated utaite covers remain an important form of expression for him and that he will continue posting them irregularly. Thanking fans who supported him through his illustrated persona, he acknowledged that some may have wanted him to keep his face hidden and apologized that the decision could not make everyone happy. Even so, he said he did not want to give up on a new challenge because of fear of change or possible failure, and he hopes taking this step will help more people learn about Riura and Ireisu. He closed with a promise: ‘Ireisu and Ireisu’s fans will definitely go to Tokyo Dome. This is not a wish, it is a promise.’
Yuusuke: Expanding Music Expression Beyond the Live Stage

Yuusuke recalled that since last year’s livestream, when he introduced Break The Border—a call to smash through musical boundaries from his side—opportunities such as live guests, livestreams, and collaborations have gradually increased. At the same time, he felt frustration over the challenges he could not accept while keeping his face hidden.
He said he will continue to value what he has built as a singer and the expression only a singer can deliver, while broadening what he can do and express through music. For him, music is not only about having people listen to a song; it also includes facial expressions, gestures, and the atmosphere that exists only in that moment. That is why he has decided to reveal his face outside of live performances as well.
First, he will release the music video for NAKEDANSWER, which was performed at the recent summer tour final. On Shorts, he plans to post face-revealed utaite performances with a backing band three times a week. He will also continue releasing original songs. Rather than discarding what he has done as a singer, he sees this as adding new forms of expression. In the future, he aims to gradually increase solo lives, self-produced concerts, and streams.
Yuusuke said he wants to strengthen his artist side and center his activities on music. He described the image as similar to a band vocalist also running a solo YouTube channel, and said he wants to expand the music that only someone who started as a singer can make.
