The afternoon of September 15 (Monday, holiday) saw the highly anticipated transformation of Kobayashi Chiaki no PARTY×PARTY, a beloved program aired on the ABEMA Anime Channel, into its very first real-life event. From 2:00 PM, this approximately 45-minute talk and project session captivated both the live audience at the venue and online viewers, igniting an immense wave of excitement.
The moment Kobayashi Chiaki, the charismatic organizer of the program, stepped onto the stage, the venue erupted in thunderous applause, instantly shifting into full-on party mode. With a spirited rallying cry—”Today marks our very first public live broadcast! Whether you’re a `party people` (paripi, a term for energetic socializers) or just joining us, I hope we can all get hyped together!”—the opening declaration burst forth from Shibuya, widely renowned as a “paripi holy ground,” setting an electrifying, full-throttle mood for the event.
Guest Spotlight: Hamano Daiki, the Voice Acting World’s Number 1 Paripi
Making a truly memorable appearance as the special guest for this inaugural public broadcast was Hamano Daiki, famously known throughout the industry as the “Voice Acting World’s Number 1 paripi.” He entered to cheerful, upbeat music, and the segment began with a lively toast of non-alcoholic champagne. The two talented voice actors not only shared their engaging first impressions of each other but also delved into a spirited discussion about the very definition of a “paripi.” Hamano-san even revealed which fellow voice actors he considered “definitely paripi,” and the conversation, enriched with enthusiastic fan mail, filled the air with infectious laughter and vibrant energy.

Furthermore, to finally answer the burning question, “Is Hamano Daiki truly a paripi?”, the program featured an ingenious original segment: the Party People Type Indicator (PPTI Shindan). Drawing from listeners’ personal theories of “A paripi is someone who is ○○,” a rapid-fire series of unique and engaging questions was posed to Hamano-san.
