The highly anticipated synopsis and advance scene cuts for Episode 1 “Te wo Nobashita Hi” (The Day I Reached Out) of the upcoming fall anime, Taiyou yori mo Mabushii Hoshi, which begins broadcasting on October 2, 2025 (Thursday), have finally been revealed!
About Taiyou yori mo Mabushii Hoshi
Taiyou yori mo Mabushii Hoshi is the latest captivating work by Kawahara Kazune, renowned for her many successful manga series that have received media adaptations, including Ore Monogatari!! (art by Aruko), Koukou Debut, and Sensei!. This romantic story is currently serialized in Shueisha’s “Bessatsu Margaret” and has impressively surpassed 3.2 million copies in cumulative circulation as of September 2025.
The story introduces Iwata Sae, a girl who is a bit sturdier than average. Back in elementary school, she fell head over heels for the gentle smile of a rather delicate boy, Kamishiro Kouki. However, the slender and small Kamishiro blossomed into a refreshingly handsome young man by middle school, becoming a distant and popular figure. Yet, during their final middle school sports festival, an unexpected encounter with Kamishiro reignites Sae’s long-cherished first love, setting her heart in motion once more.
The TV anime adaptation is directed by Kobayashi Aya, with animation production handled by Studio KAI. The talented cast features Fujidera Minori as Iwata Sae and Ono Yuuki as Kamishiro Kouki. Joining them are Youmiya Hina as Onodera Hisui, Saka Taito as Ayukawa You-ta, Tamura Mutsumi as Kagawa Miori, Oosaka Ryouta as Izawa Yuushin, and Shiraishi Haruka as Kamishiro Subaru.
Episode 1 “Te wo Nobashita Hi” Synopsis
Iwata Sae is a girl with a slightly more robust constitution than average. Her first love, Kamishiro Kouki, was once delicate and frail. Now, as they enter their third year of middle school, he has grown into an undeniably cool and popular guy. As Kamishiro became more sought-after, Sae’s connection with him gradually faded, leaving her to admire him from afar, her feelings tucked deep within her heart.
However, during their final middle school sports festival, Sae finds herself unexpectedly drawn closer to Kamishiro through a surprising turn of events.
The long-standing unrequited love that she had kept hidden deep in her heart is now finally poised to awaken.
