Umamusume Cinderella Gray is a TV anime adapted from a comic series (comicalize) centered on Oguri Cap, originating from the hugely popular multimedia franchise Umamusume Pretty Derby. This thrilling series, currently serialized in “Weekly Young Jump,” has captivated audiences, surpassing 8 million copies in cumulative circulation. The first cour of the anime aired from April to June 2025, setting the stage for what’s to come.
Oguri Cap, a prodigious “monster” who emerged from the provinces, has consistently defied expectations by successively defeating formidable rivals in the central racing scene. In this highly anticipated second cour, she faces even greater challenges. The “strongest” Tamamo Cross and international Umamusume from across the seas now stand in her way. This Cinderella girl, destined to define an “era,” is now stepping boldly into uncharted territory, ready to conquer new peaks.
Under the skillful direction of Miura Takehiro, CygamesPictures is once again at the helm of animation production, promising stunning visuals and exhilarating race sequences. After her heartbreaking defeat by Tamamo at the Tenno Sho (Autumn), Oguri dedicates herself to rigorous training, fueled by an unwavering determination to finally secure victory against Tamamo this time.
As she discusses her next anticipated race with her classmates, a new rival emerges as Dicta Striker suddenly declares war on Oguri, interrupting their lively conversation.
Dicta issues a stern warning, cautioning Oguri that being too fixated solely on Tamamo will inevitably lead to a stumble. The question hangs in the air: what pivotal race will Oguri choose next to prove her mettle?
