Get ready for the highly anticipated TV anime 3-nen Z-gumi Ginpachi-sensei, set to grace our screens in the October 2025 season. Here, we’ve compiled all the essential details, including the stellar voice cast and crucial broadcast and streaming information.

Gintama 3-nen Z-gumi Ginpachi-sensei is a popular spin-off novel (written by Oosaki Tomohito) from Sorachi Hideaki’s beloved manga, Gintama. This delightful series transports the iconic Gintama characters into a vibrant school setting, where they navigate their uniquely peculiar youth under the guidance of their eccentric homeroom teacher, Sakata Ginpachi.

About the Gintama Series

A phenomenal manga series with over 73 million copies in circulation worldwide (including digital editions), Gintama by Sorachi Hideaki (published by Shueisha Jump Comics) began its serialization in “Weekly Shonen Jump” in issue 2 of 2004 (released December 8, 2003) and concluded its run in June 2019.

Set in a fictional Edo period under the rule of aliens known as Amanto, the story follows Sakata Gintoki, a sweet-loving and reckless samurai, and his companions like Shinpachi and Kagura, as they take on various cases brought to their Yorozuya (Odd Jobs) business. It’s a thrilling blend of side-splitting gags, intense action, and heartfelt tales of humanity and companionship.

The series was first adapted into a TV anime in 2006, running for approximately 13 years with several hiatuses, before its grand finale with episode 367 on October 7, 2018.

Furthermore, it has seen multiple successful theatrical releases: 2010’s Gekijouban Gintama Shin’yaku Benizakura-hen, 2013’s Gekijouban Gintama Kanketsu-hen: Yorozuya yo Eien Nare (featuring an original story penned by author Sorachi-sensei himself), and 2021’s Gintama THE FINAL, which depicted the manga’s ultimate conclusion. The franchise also boasts live-action films, with the first Gintama movie in 2017 becoming the highest-grossing Japanese film of that year, followed by its sequel Gintama 2 Okite wa Yaburu Tame ni Koso Aru in 2018.

Adding to this rich history, the TV anime adaptation of the spin-off novel Gintama 3-nen Z-gumi Ginpachi-sensei has also been officially greenlit, promising more school-day antics.

Even two decades after its initial serialization, Gintama continues to thrive through various media adaptations, delighting fans and solidifying its place as a beloved cultural icon.
