Tanezaki Atsumi and Hayami Saori Fully Enjoy the “Super Realistic” Spy World at Universal Cool Japan 2025 SPY×FAMILY Collaboration!
Universal Studios Japan (USJ) is currently hosting “Universal Cool Japan 2025” for approximately one year, celebrating the 10th anniversary of its special event series, “Universal Cool Japan”. On October 5, 2025, Tanezaki Atsumi, the voice of Anya, and Hayami Saori, the voice of Yor from the TV anime *SPY×FAMILY*, visited the park. They dove headfirst into the “super realistic” spy world, including the “SPY×FAMILY XR Ride ~Operation Hyperdrive~” attraction.
Embark on a Thrilling Mission with the Forger Family!
First, Tanezaki Atsumi and Hayami Saori experienced “SPY×FAMILY XR Ride ~Operation Hyperdrive~”, an attraction that boasts a 100% satisfaction rate in visitor surveys, where guests join the Forger family on a brand new mission.
As rookie WISE agents, the two infiltrated Eden Academy to search for top-secret documents alongside “chichi”. Donning VR goggles, they boarded the “USJ-gou” vehicle crafted by Franky and set off into the spy world with the Forger family. Working together with Loid, Yor, and Anya, they brilliantly protected the classified information.
Tanezaki Atsumi shared her excitement, “It was a perfect 100 points! Anya, chichi, and haha were right in front of my eyes, and it was just so exciting! I really felt that this is an experience you can only have at Universal Studios Japan. It was heartwarming and absolutely amazing!” She was thrilled by the overwhelming actions of Loid and Yor, who elegantly dispatched enemy spies right before her, and the incredible abilities of Anya and Bond, who sensed danger in advance, which she felt throughout her body.
Hayami Saori, equally electrified, added, “The immersion was incredible! There was a scene where Yor-san jumped right in front of me, so close I almost felt I could touch her! By the end, it wasn’t just about the mission; there were heartwarming moments of the Forger family that made me wonder if I was really allowed to witness them so intimately. It was wonderful!”
Extracurricular Fun at Eden Academy!
Next, Tanezaki Atsumi and Hayami Saori had a blast with Anya’s companions from Eden Academy in the “SPY×FAMILY Story Ride ~Exciting! Trolley Experience During Extracurricular Class~”. They joined Anya, Becky, and Damian on a trolley ride as part of an extracurricular class, speeding through thrilling ups and downs and plunging into a dark cave, enjoying the ultimate trolley experience.
After the ride, the two voice actors were buzzing with enthusiasm. “This attraction was also amazing!” Tanezaki Atsumi exclaimed. Hayami Saori added, “It was incredible! Just wait a minute… no, it was *too* incredible!” Tanezaki Atsumi then playfully commented, “I saw a side of Hayami Saori I’ve never seen before! It was the best (laughs)!” Hayami Saori responded, “So many amazing things happened all at once. I was listening to the voices of the Eden Academy students, and for the first time, I felt empathy for Damian-sama! I’m sure there are others like me who would scream along while empathizing with Damian-sama!” Tanezaki Atsumi agreed, “Indeed, the second son was scared the whole time (laughs)!” Hayami Saori concluded, “It was so good, I want to ride it again! I want to scream with everyone again!”
A Waku Waku Park Rally Adventure!
Afterwards, the duo explored the park and enjoyed the “＼Everyone, let’s challenge with Chichi and Haha!／ SPY×FAMILY Waku Waku! USJ Park Rally”. This rally challenges guests with quizzes as they spend a holiday with the Forger family at a certain amusement park.
Successfully earning an original limited-edition sticker adorned with a “Stella” star, Tanezaki Atsumi and Hayami Saori were delighted. “I’m so happy we cleared it! It always feels great to get a Stella, no matter how many you have!” Tanezaki Atsumi said. Hayami Saori noted, “It’s great to go around the park solving quizzes and hearing the Forger family’s voices!” Tanezaki Atsumi agreed, “It was fun how the scenery we were seeing matched the conversations!” Hayami Saori added, “It felt like we were hearing the Forger family’s voices as they genuinely came to play at the park!” Tanezaki Atsumi chimed in, “It was so heartwarming!”
Savoring Forger Family Cuisine
Finally, at “Park Side Grill,” the two indulged in the “SPY×FAMILY Park Side Grill Special Set ~Loid’s Hamburg~,” featuring “chichi’s” hamburg steak accompanied by Anya’s favorite peanuts (in a pie). With beautiful rose-petal-adorned appetizers, they savored the Forger family’s proud culinary delights, feeling like they were on a special “odekake” (outing).
In addition, Tanezaki Atsumi enjoyed “Anya’s Waku Waku Peach Soda,” which expresses Anya’s “waku waku!” (excitement!) moments with sparkling fruit and jelly. Hayami Saori delighted in “Bond’s Fluffy Tea Latte,” inspired by Anya’s companion, Bond.
Regarding the collaboration menu, Tanezaki Atsumi commented, “It was incredibly delicious. I could really taste the meat in the hamburg! I thought, ‘Anya would totally go ‘Hamburg!’ for this.’ It felt like a dream come true to experience something I’d only seen in the anime and manga.”
Hayami Saori shared her imaginative thoughts, “While eating the cold appetizer, I imagined if Yor-san had made this, how much effort she would have put in (laughs). The food tasted great, and the drinks were really delicious too! I could truly feel *SPY×FAMILY* even through the food.”
A Day of “Super Realistic” Spy Fun
Throughout the day, Hayami Saori and Tanezaki Atsumi had an absolute blast in the heart of a “super realistic” spy world. Hayami Saori shared her impressions, “It was incredibly fun, and I felt closer to *SPY×FAMILY* than ever before, in a different way than the anime!” Tanezaki Atsumi agreed, “I know! It felt like we were really there with them. I felt so close to the Forger family and everyone at Eden Academy!” Hayami Saori added, “It felt like we were eating together and touring the park together.” They both exclaimed in unison, “The world of *SPY×FAMILY* truly exists at Universal Studios Japan!”
Exclusive Special Talk Event with the Voice Cast!
Later that day, around 6:30 PM, a one-day-only “Special Talk Event” was held at the Peacock Theater within the park, inviting *SPY×FAMILY* fan guests. The event was also live-streamed on Universal Studios Japan’s official Instagram.
Appearing on stage, Tanezaki Atsumi and Hayami Saori spoke excitedly about their experience on the “SPY×FAMILY XR Ride ~Operation Hyperdrive~”. Tanezaki Atsumi exclaimed, “The sense of speed was amazing! The Forger family felt incredibly close!” Hayami Saori added, “When Yor-san leaped from the car, the immersion was so intense that I instinctively leaned back!”
Midway through the event, a live voice acting (afureko) session for Anya and Yor’s lines was performed, synchronized with the VR footage of the “SPY×FAMILY XR Ride”. A huge round of applause erupted from the guests for their passionate voice messages, and viewers of the live stream also reacted with astonishment and excitement.
Regarding the collaboration merchandise, Hayami Saori humorously shared, “Until now, everything has been ‘Stella,’ so I thought there wouldn’t be anything ‘Tonito’ at Universal Studios Japan. But then I found it on the churros (laughs)!” Tanezaki Atsumi, holding Bond merchandise, remarked, “This Bond is so cute! He moves (laughs)! It’s almost like you can hear Bond’s ‘Boff!’ sound. The headband is also adorable, with Anya’s little hands perched on top!”
A Lasting Invitation to the Spy World
Finally, in a message to the guests, Tanezaki Atsumi expressed, “My long-held wish came true, visiting Universal Studios Japan and finding the world of *SPY×FAMILY* here. I was truly happy. I hope everyone will come and meet the *SPY×FAMILY* characters again and again.”
Hayami Saori added, “This was my first Universal Studios Japan experience, and I’ve never had such an amazing experience in my life until today. It felt like all these wonderful things were saved just for this day, making it a day filled with excitement, thrills, power, and heart-pounding moments. I would be delighted if you all came to visit.”
The TV anime *SPY×FAMILY* collaboration events, including the “SPY×FAMILY XR Ride ~Operation Hyperdrive~”, are being held as part of Universal Studios Japan (USJ)’s special event “Universal Cool Japan 2025” for a limited time until January 4, 2026.
