Autumn Anime “BukiYou na Senpai.” Reveals Episode 2 Synopsis and Previews
Get ready for more heartwarming office comedy! The autumn anime BukiYou na Senpai. (which can be translated as The Clumsy Senior), is set to deliver its second episode, “I want to invite my kouhai to lunch!”, airing from October 9, 2025 (Thursday). Fans can now get a sneak peek at the synopsis and some delightful scene cuts!
Based on the manga by Kudou Makoto, serialized in Square Enix’s “Young Gangan,” BukiYou na Senpai. is a charming “awkward working & love? comedy” about a clumsy senior and a new employee. The story centers on Kagari Azusa, an office lady whose workplace evaluation often notes her as “beautiful but strict and scary” due to her struggles with social interactions. Her life takes an interesting turn when she is appointed as the training supervisor for the new hire, Kamekawa Yuu, leading to a daily routine filled with adorable misunderstandings between the well-meaning but awkward senior and her diligent junior.
The original manga has garnered immense popularity, boasting over 650,000 copies in circulation and exceeding 3 million “likes” on X (formerly Twitter). The TV anime adaptation is helmed by director Otake Ayumu, with animation production by Studio Elle. The talented cast includes Lynn as Kagari Azusa and Sakata Shougo as Kamekawa Yuu. Joining them are Maeshima Ami as Hotta Mio and Saiga Mitsuki as Kankaiji Ritsu.
Episode 2: “I want to invite my kouhai to lunch!”
In this episode, Kagari Azusa and Kamekawa Yuu are busy planning a collaboration cafe for a certain game. Kagari, eager to bond more with Kamekawa, tries to invite him to lunch, but finds herself struggling to pinpoint the perfect moment.
As she hesitates, waiting for an opportunity, other colleagues unexpectedly swoop in and invite Kamekawa before she can. Kagari is understandably shocked and disappointed!
