About Tokyo Revengers
`Tokyo Revengers` is a thrilling time-travel suspense manga by Wakui Ken, which was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Magazine” from 2017 to 2022 and even won the “44th Koudansha Manga Award” in the Shounen category. The TV anime adaptation follows the story of Hanagaki Takemichi, a former delinquent whose “glory days peaked in middle school.” His life takes an unexpected turn when his only girlfriend from middle school dies. This tragic event sparks a journey 12 years into the past, where he endeavors to change his fate and get revenge on his life.
The anime’s first season, which adapted the “8-3 Kousou Arc” and “Bloody Halloween Arc,” aired from April to September 2021. This was followed by the second season, “Seiya Kessen Arc,” from January to April 2023, and the third season, “Tenjiku Arc,” from October to December of the same year. Beyond the anime, the series has enjoyed a wide range of content developments, including live-action films and stage plays. Fans can look forward to the TV anime’s sequel, the “Santen Sensou Arc,” which is slated to broadcast in 2026.
