About the Beloved Ranma 1/2 Series
Ranma 1/2 is a classic martial arts romantic comedy based on the immensely popular manga by the legendary `Takahashi Rumiko`. Known for masterpieces such as Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku, Inuyasha, Kyoukai no RINNE, and MAO, `Takahashi Rumiko` serialized Ranma 1/2 in “Weekly Shounen Sunday” from 1987 to 1996, and it continues to boast tremendous popularity even today.
A completely new anime adaptation, helmed by director `Uda Kounosuke` and animated by the renowned studio MAPPA, broadcast its first season from October to December 2024, with the highly anticipated second season kicking off in October 2025. The return of the original main cast, including `Yamaguchi Kappei` as `Saotome Ranma`, `Hayashibara Megumi` as `Ranma`, and `Hidaka Noriko` as `Tendou Akane`, generated immense excitement and continues to keep fans thrilled from before the broadcast to the present day.
The story begins when the martial artist `Saotome Genma` and his son `Ranma`, after training in China, arrive at the `Tendou` family home.
