LUPIN THE IIIRD THE MOVIE Fushimi no Ketsuzoku is the first completely new 2D theatrical Lupin Sansei anime film in about 30 years, following Lupin Sansei DEAD OR ALIVE. In this new adventure, Lupin and his companions set their sights on a treasure located on a mysterious, uncharted island, only to be met by an enigmatic entity known as the “Immortal Bloodline” (Fushimi no Ketsuzoku). This movie promises a story of unprecedented scale and drama, opening the curtain on a tale that can be considered the origin connecting to all Lupin Sansei.
The film is helmed by Director Koike Takeshi, known for his stylish direction praised both domestically and internationally, having worked on all previous LUPIN THE IIIRD series titles. The script is penned by Takahashi Yuuya, and the music is composed by James Shimoji. The theme song is a newly written track titled “The IIIRD Eye” by the popular rock duo B’z.
The familiar voice cast returns, including Kurita Kanichi as Lupin Sansei, Ootsuka Akio as Jigen Daisuke, Namikawa Daisuke as Ishikawa Goemon, Sawashiro Miyuki as Mine Fujiko, and Yamadera Kouichi as Zenigata Keibu. New additions to the cast feature Kataoka Ainosuke playing Muomu, Lupin’s greatest enemy, Morikawa Aoi as Sarifa, a mysterious girl, and the comedy duo Kuukikaidan voicing the eerie “trash people” who serve Muomu.
