Off to the “Ainana” Oosaka Sougo Birthday Store! A Space Full of Gentle Smiles and Rocking Music…♪ [16 STAR SIGNS]

『IDOLiSH7』 is celebrating the birthdays of its idols with the “『16 STAR SIGNS』2025 Birthday Store” event. Currently, the “Oosaka Sougo Birthday Store” is being held until May 31, 2025. We’ll bring you a report on the atmosphere there!

■What is 『16 STAR SIGNS』2025 Birthday Store?

『IDOLiSH7』 is a media mix project spearheaded by Bandai Namco Entertainment, primarily developed through a smartphone app game with the key concept of “idols who grow together with their companions”.
Music, live performances, anime, books, corporate tie-ups, and more – the project has expanded through various media, aiming to create idols through diverse avenues. Its charming characters, songs, and story have gained significant popularity alongside the original game. 2025 marks a milestone 10th anniversary, and further excitement is anticipated.

The “『16 STAR SIGNS』2025 Birthday Store” is a store event celebrating the birthdays of the 16 idols appearing in 『IDOLiSH7』. Exhibits and commemorative goods sales are held every idol’s birth month. One of the appealing points is being able to hear broadcasted messages from the idols at the venue!
In April, the birthday store for Yotsuba Tamaki-kun was held.

■Serious, Yet Occasionally Confuses Members!? Who is Oosaka Sougo?

Sougo-kun is a member of the in-story idol group IDOLiSH7 from 『IDOLiSH7』. He is active in the unit “MEZZO”” with the youngest member, Yotsuba Tamaki-kun.

Sougo-kun is serious and gentle, and his diligent nature is incredibly cool. However, he sometimes behaves in slightly off-kilter ways that leave others bewildered… He loves extremely spicy food and sometimes puts copious amounts of chili powder or Tabasco sauce in his fellow members’ meals. When Tamaki-kun wouldn’t open the door to talk to him, he even destroyed the door lock with a screwdriver!? With a massive gap between his elegance and his boldness, you just can’t take your eyes off Sougo-kun!

■The BGM is Upbeat Rock!

Upon entering the venue, Sougo-kun’s solo song “Maybe” was playing. It’s a rock tune filled with Sougo-kun’s unique charm. Besides this, we also heard “Crescendo,” his 2024 birthday song sung with Tamaki-kun and Nanase Riku-kun, as well as venue announcements by Sougo-kun himself.

In the center of the venue was a life-sized acrylic panel of Sougo-kun in his birthday outfit. You could admire his expression and wonderful costume down to the finest details. Many manager-san were also taking commemorative photos with their own Sougo-kun plushies; taking pictures together is just adorable!

Around the acrylic panel, past birthday visuals were displayed. You can take your time appreciating these large panels featuring everything from a young Sougo-kun to visuals with his autograph.
Furthermore, the 2025 birthday visual will be displayed after his birthday on May 28th.

In addition, footage highlighting Sougo-kun from Mubinana (『Gekijouban IDOLiSH7 LIVE 4bit BEYOND THE PERiOD』) was also being shown. His gentle smile, and the sharp look he sometimes shows… watching this video, you can’t help but notice Sougo-kun’s charm!

Inside the venue, Sougo-kun goods such as big acrylic stands, collect books, tote bags, and mugs are available for sale. The 2025 birthday outfit Sougo-kun plushie, designed by Totomame-sensei, is also displayed, so be sure to check it out.

Moreover, at the cafe corner within “Bandai Namco Cross Store Tokyo”, a Fortune Latte using the newly drawn illustration by Totomame-sensei for the 2025 birthday outfit is available. It’s highly recommended for a relaxing break after viewing the exhibits.

■Cool Idols Appear Every Month!

The “『16 STAR SIGNS』2025 Birthday Store” event, celebrating the idols’ birthdays, is being held until December 31, 2025, inside “Bandai Namco Cross Store Tokyo” on the 3rd Floor of Sunshine City World Import Mart Building in Ikebukuro.
The “Oosaka Sougo Birthday Store” is ongoing until May 31st. Starting June 1st, the “Natsume Minami / Rokuya Nagi Birthday Store” will be held. Please do stop by to celebrate!
