November 2nd marks the birthday of Ishida Akira-san!
Ishida Akira-san debuted in the 1990s and has since lent his versatile voice to a wide array of characters across numerous productions. His remarkable talent was recognized with the Best Supporting Actor Award at the 1st Seiyuu Awards, a testament to his impactful performances and lasting presence in the industry.
In 2025, Ishida Akira-san is set to appear in a variety of exciting titles, including Gekijouban Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugenjo-hen Dai Isshou Akaza Sairai (also known as Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie – Mugen Castle Arc Chapter 1: Akaza’s Return), Kagaku x Bouken Survival! (which can be translated as Science x Adventure Survival!), 3-nen Z-gumi Ginpachi-sensei, and Ranma 1/2, showcasing his enduring versatility in the anime world.

2024 Results
For those curious, the results from last year’s survey, also held in celebration of Ishida Akira-san’s birthday, where we asked “Which is your favorite character he has voiced?”, are already available! The 2024 survey saw Fyodor D. from Bungou Stray Dogs taking a strong 3rd place, while Aslan from Kidou Senshi Gundam SEED secured the 2nd spot. Interestingly, a surprising entry from Kirishima in Raise wa Tanin ga Ii made it into the rankings quite early!
