Animate to Host `Gotoubun no Hanayome＊` Fair Featuring New “Shortcake Coord” Merchandise!
TV Special Anime `Gotoubun no Hanayome＊` is set to launch an exciting Animate Fair in January 2026, featuring brand-new merchandise centered around the “Shortcake Image Coord ver.” concept. The fair will be held at participating Animate stores and their online shop.
The event promises an array of new goods featuring newly drawn illustrations of the Nakano quintuplets. One highlight is the “Animate Limited Edition Newly Drawn Shortcake Image Coord ver. Trading Hologram Can Badge.”
About `Gotoubun no Hanayome`
`Gotoubun no Hanayome` is a captivating romantic comedy based on the popular manga of the same name by Haruba Negi, which graced the pages of Weekly Shounen Magazine until February 2020. The heartwarming story introduces us to Uesugi Fuutarou, a protagonist with top-tier academic performance. His life takes an unexpected turn when he becomes the private tutor for the beautiful Nakano quintuplets, who, despite their charm, are struggling with their studies and teetering on the brink of academic failure. Fuutarou’s mission is to guide these five unique sisters—Nakano Ichika, Nakano Nino, Nakano Miku, Nakano Yotsuba, and Nakano Itsuki—towards high school graduation.
The TV anime adaptation first delighted audiences with its initial season from January to March 2019, followed by the highly anticipated second season, `Gotoubun no Hanayome∬`, which aired from January to March 2021. The narrative reached a major turning point with the movie `Gotoubun no Hanayome`, released on May 20, 2022. This film beautifully depicted the quintuplets and Fuutarou’s final, unforgettable high school event: the “School Festival,” bringing the main story to its emotional climax. Fans were then treated to `Gotoubun no Hanayome∽` in July 2023, which animated beloved original manga episodes that hadn’t been covered in the TV series.
