About WIND BREAKER: From Manga to Screen
`WIND BREAKER` is based on the action manga that began serialization in “Magazine Pocket” in 2021. The story kicks off with `Sakura Haruka`, a lonely high school student whose only strong point is fighting, arriving in town with the ambition of taking the top spot at Furin High School, a place feared as a den of delinquents. However, the students of Furin High School, known as Boufurin — or `WIND BREAKER`s — have transformed into protectors of the town. Though initially bewildered, `Sakura` joins the Boufurin members, plunging into battles alongside his companions to safeguard the town.

The special video opens with a striking scene where `Sugishita Kyoutarou` lifts a desk and throws it at `Sakura Haruka`. This intense moment serves as a powerful “initiation” in response to `Sakura`’s bold declaration of aiming for the top, made shortly after his enrollment at Furin High School, and is definitely a highlight viewers won’t want to miss!
Behind the Scenes: Cast Talk Highlights
During a cross-talk segment, `Kido Taisei`, who plays `Nirei Akihiko`, and `Tsuna Keito`, who portrays `Suou Hayato`, joined `Mizukami Koushi` and `JUNON`. Since the discussion took place between filming, the actors were still in their character costumes, adding a unique touch to their lively banter.
`JUNON`, who made his full-fledged acting debut in this film, candidly revealed, “I was more nervous before the crank-in.” When the other three playfully pointed out, “But you hype up thousands, tens of thousands of people at live concerts!”, `JUNON` chuckled, admitting his nervousness stemmed from his shy personality. `Sugishita` is known as a taciturn character, so seeing `JUNON` speak so eloquently while in character costume was quite a rare sight. `Mizukami Koushi` even teased him, saying, “You can talk, `JUNON`-san!”, highlighting the strong camaraderie among the cast.
It was also revealed that `JUNON`’s longest line in the film is a mere 11 characters. Fans are eager to anticipate the content of this line, which is famously known as one of `Sugishita`’s iconic quotes in the original manga.

Story
