Let’s dive into them right now!
Fujimoto Tatsuki’s dark fantasy action manga Chainsaw Man, which began serialization in Weekly Shounen Jump and is now continuing its second part on Shounen Jump+, has captivated audiences worldwide. It tells the story of Denji, a young man burdened by his late father’s debt. To repay it, he makes a contract with the Chainsaw Devil, Pochita, and lives as a Devil Hunter. However, a fateful incident transforms him into Chainsaw Man, a hybrid with a devil’s heart, leading him into a whirlwind of dangerous adventures.
After the TV anime adaptation aired in October 2022, its popularity skyrocketed. Gekijouban Chainsaw Man Reze-hen directly continues from the TV anime’s thrilling final episode, bringing the much-anticipated “Reze-hen” to the big screen. The film follows Denji as he gets swept up by Reze, a mysterious girl he encounters during a date with his beloved Makima, propelling him towards an unpredictable destiny filled with both romance and violence.

Denji-yaku / Totani Kikunosuke-san
When asked about the film’s highlights, Totani Kikunosuke-san passionately emphasized, “The incredible, vivid flashiness of the action scenes, above all else! The direction is also incredibly brilliant, making it feel like a roller coaster. It’s truly like a physical, immersive attraction, a ride you physically experience!” He revealed his absolute favorite scene is “the scene with Reze and Denji at the fireworks festival.”
“It’s so thrilling, and it’s where Chainsaw Man truly kicks off! There are unique cinematic elements in that scene that you can only experience in a movie, so I definitely think it’s a scene you have to witness in a theater,” he shared.
Regarding his future dreams, Totani-san chuckled, “As you can see, I’m quite slender right now. I want to build muscle and become buff someday… Heheh.” He then playfully pleaded with Pochita, “Pochita, grant me my dream!”

Makima-yaku / Kusunoki Tomori-san
“The powerful battle scenes, of course. Makima’s appearances are scattered throughout the film, but she always shows up at crucial moments, so I’d be delighted if everyone could pay attention to Makima too, without getting too caught up with Reze,” Kusunoki Tomori-san, who voices the enigmatic Makima, said about the highlights.
When asked about her favorite scene, she mused, “I love the scene where Reze and Denji are on their date at school.” Then, adopting Makima’s captivating persona, she playfully questioned, “Didn’t the movie date go well too? Which one did you prefer?”
“I’m a fan of both,” she continued, before turning to Pochita and asking, “May I tell you my dream for the future? I want to cut my hair short, but I’m not sure if it’ll suit me, and I lack the courage. Someday, I want to become a woman who looks great with a cool, super-short haircut. That’s my dream.”

Hayakawa Aki-yaku / Sakata Shougo-san
“It has the thrill of a roller coaster, with incredible shifts between intense and serene parts. I truly believe you’ll enjoy it as if you were riding a roller coaster,” Sakata Shougo-san said, echoing Totani-san’s sentiment about the film feeling like a “roller coaster.”
He also chose “the fireworks scene” as his favorite. “I just adore the dazzling beauty of that part, and the scenes that follow are also absolutely worth seeing,” he remarked, highlighting the perfect synchronicity with Totani-san’s choice. Could this be a hint of the strong bond between the senior Devil Hunter Hayakawa Aki and his junior, Denji, from Public Safety Devil Extermination Special Division 4?
After a slight pause, pondering his future dream, Sakata-san humorously answered, “What should I say… How about traveling around the world?! (laughs).”

Reze-yaku / Ueda Reina-san
“There, there, there, so cute~,” cooed Ueda Reina-san, the voice of Reze, as she gently petted Pochita. She began discussing the film’s highlights, asking, “Is this truly a love story between Reze and Denji? That’s one of the key aspects.”
“But it doesn’t end there… You get to experience different kinds of excitement in the first half and the second half, which makes it feel like an amusement park attraction. It’s truly a fascinating work!” she explained, her voice brimming with enthusiasm when describing her favorite scene.
“When I read the original manga, I was really looking forward to the pool scene and the fireworks scene, imagining how beautifully they would be animated. And when I actually saw them, the visuals surpassed my expectations, deeply moving me. But the scene that genuinely caught me off guard and became a favorite was Reze walking towards the Futamichi coffee shop. That walking scene was longer than I expected, and the music was so impactful. It’s a scene that gets better and better with each rewatch, which is why I love it so much.”
As for her future dream, Ueda-san’s thoughts turned to her beloved feline companion. “I heard about a service where you can send photos of your cat and create original cat merchandise… and I thought, ‘That’s amazing!’ So, my dream is to someday have cushions of my own cats in my home,” she said with a sweet smile.

Higashiyama Kobeni-yaku / Takahashi Karin-san
Takahashi Karin-san, who portrays Higashiyama Kobeni, the timid but surprisingly capable rookie from Public Safety Devil Extermination Special Division 4, reflected on the film. “It’s the powerful music and the scenes with intense shifts in pace. I was incredibly moved, surprised, and had so much fun; my emotions were really stirred. I truly believe it’s a roller coaster of a film.”
Her favorite scene brought a laugh: “It’s where Pochita dances! He’s just too cute.” And for her future dream, she playfully quipped, “Well, um… I hope Kobeni-chan gets to be even more active! Hehehe (laughs).”

Violence no Majin-yaku / Uchida Yuuya-san
Uchida Yuuya-san, the voice of the formidable Violence no Majin (Violence Fiend), revealed, “Before watching the film, I thought the action scenes would be the main highlight.”
“But having actually watched this film, I think it’s the drama, the way people’s distances grow closer and further apart, that you can enjoy even more when watched alongside the action scenes and visuals.”
His absolute favorite scene is “the scene in the movie theater where tears are shed.” He explained, “The way something completely opposite turns out to be the same – that part is incredibly moving and a scene I truly adore.”
Regarding his personal dream, Uchida-san shared, “I hope to be able to travel slowly with my beloved partner over many years.” He concluded with an energetic, “Please, by all means, enjoy the kaiju battle at the cinema!”

Tenshi no Akuma-yaku / Uchida Maaya-san
Uchida Maaya-san, the voice of the Tenshi no Akuma (Angel Devil), touched upon the film’s ending, stating, “I thought the ending left a slightly melancholic feeling. The way Denji’s encounter with Reze, leading all the way to their farewell, is so thoroughly depicted, and how clearly the characters’ emotions come through – I think that’s a major highlight.” She continued, “I really want everyone to watch while following Reze’s feelings and Denji’s feelings!”
Uchida-san’s favorite scene was “the scene where Denji, critically injured, bursts out of the car by ripping a hole through it and screams.” “I absolutely love that part; it’s like, ‘Ah! Denji’s charm is exploding!!’ I feel so exhilarated no matter how many times I watch it, and the series of battle scenes from that point onward really fired me up!” she exclaimed, highlighting a truly explosive moment.
As for her future dream, she powerfully clenched her fist and declared, “I want to try going blonde! (laughs). I’ve never bleached my hair before, and I want to see myself with blonde hair. I want to try it someday!”
