After the TV anime adaptation aired in October 2022, its popularity skyrocketed. Gekijouban Chainsaw Man Reze-hen directly continues from the TV anime’s thrilling final episode, bringing the much-anticipated “Reze-hen” to the big screen. Makima’s appearances are scattered throughout the film, but she always shows up at crucial moments, so I’d be delighted if everyone could pay attention to Makima too, without getting too caught up with Reze,” Kusunoki Tomori-san, who voices the enigmatic Makima, said about the highlights.

When asked about her favorite scene, she mused, “I love the scene where Reze and Denji are on their date at school.” Then, adopting Makima’s captivating persona, she playfully questioned, “Didn’t the movie date go well too? Which one did you prefer?”

“I’m a fan of both,” she continued, before turning to Pochita and asking, “May I tell you my dream for the future? I want to cut my hair short, but I’m not sure if it’ll suit me, and I lack the courage. Someday, I want to become a woman who looks great with a cool, super-short haircut. That’s my dream.”

“It has the thrill of a roller coaster, with incredible shifts between intense and serene parts. I truly believe you’ll enjoy it as if you were riding a roller coaster,” Sakata Shougo-san said, echoing Totani-san’s sentiment about the film feeling like a “roller coaster.”

“There, there, there, so cute~,” cooed Ueda Reina-san, the voice of Reze, as she gently petted Pochita. She began discussing the film’s highlights, asking, “Is this truly a love story between Reze and Denji? That’s one of the key aspects.”

“But it doesn’t end there… You get to experience different kinds of excitement in the first half and the second half, which makes it feel like an amusement park attraction. It’s truly a fascinating work!” she explained, her voice brimming with enthusiasm when describing her favorite scene.

“When I read the original manga, I was really looking forward to the pool scene and the fireworks scene, imagining how beautifully they would be animated. And when I actually saw them, the visuals surpassed my expectations, deeply moving me. But the scene that genuinely caught me off guard and became a favorite was Reze walking towards the Futamichi coffee shop. That walking scene was longer than I expected, and the music was so impactful. It’s a scene that gets better and better with each rewatch, which is why I love it so much.”

As for her future dream, Ueda-san’s thoughts turned to her beloved feline companion. “I heard about a service where you can send photos of your cat and create original cat merchandise… and I thought, ‘That’s amazing!’ So, my dream is to someday have cushions of my own cats in my home,” she said with a sweet smile.
