The Enduring Legacy of Shingeki no Kyojin
Shingeki no Kyojin, a masterpiece of dark fantasy by Isayama Hajime, captivated readers in “Bessatsu Shounen Magazine” from 2009 to 2021. The narrative plunges us into a world defined by towering walls, where humanity wages an unrelenting and desperate battle against the colossal Titans. The TV anime adaptation first graced screens in 2013, culminating in the thrilling conclusion of “The Final Season Kanketsuhen (Kouhen)” which aired in November 2023, bringing the series to its emotional close.
THE LAST ATTACK: A Grand Cinematic Return
Gekijouban “Shingeki no Kyojin” Kanketsuhen THE LAST ATTACK is a meticulously re-edited cinematic journey, seamlessly weaving together the first and second parts of “The Final Season Kanketsuhen”. This epic film originally premiered on November 8, 2024, drawing in over a million viewers who flocked to witness the conclusion on the big screen.
For this spectacular revival, fans will first be treated to the series’ inaugural Dolby Cinema version of Shingeki no Kyojin, hitting theaters on January 9, 2026. Under the expert supervision of director Hayashi Yuichirou and sound director Mima Masafumi, a brand-new 4K screening master has been meticulously crafted. This 4K HDR remastering, paired with breathtaking Dolby Atmos audio, promises an unparalleled and deeply immersive experience, transcending anything seen before.

Following the Dolby Cinema debut, the regular screening version will also begin its sequential rollout in theaters nationwide starting January 16, 2026. Director Hayashi Yuichirou shared his excitement and gratitude, expressing, “THE LAST ATTACK revival screening!! This truly wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support from all the fans who visited the theaters so many times during the initial film release. Thank you very much!”

But the excitement doesn’t stop there! A 4K UHD Blu-ray release has also been confirmed for January 21, 2026. This collector’s edition will feature the main film, exquisitely 4K HDR remastered with Dolby Atmos audio, utilizing the very same new 4K screening master developed for the Dolby Cinema version. As a special bonus, fans will be able to relive the thrilling moments of “Attack Oto Taikan Final,” which was Day 2 of the “ATTACK FES” event held in January 2024. The 4K UHD+Blu-ray set will be available for 19,800 yen, while the DVD version will be priced at 13,200 yen (all prices include tax).
