To celebrate the monumental 30th anniversary of the beloved Evangelion series, Evangelion Shogouki has been meticulously crafted into a special action figure by the renowned “METAL BUILD” brand. This highly anticipated item is set to launch as a general retail product on November 14, 2025.
The Evangelion series sparked a social phenomenon with its TV broadcast of Shin Seiki Evangelion in 1995. It then experienced a spectacular resurgence in 2007 with the Evangelion Shin Gekijouban (also known as Rebuild of Evangelion) film series. The first three installments—Jo, Ha, and Q—were box office triumphs. The grand finale, Shin Evangelion Gekijouban, released in 2021, broke new ground by becoming the first film in the series to surpass 10 billion yen in box office revenue, captivating audiences and generating immense discussion.
This “METAL BUILD Evangelion Shogouki 30th with the spear of Gaius” is a truly special edition, designed to commemorate the series’ 30th anniversary. It comes packed with exclusive features, including the impressive “Spear of Gaius,” which stretches over 370mm in length, and a custom display stand adorned with a commemorative anniversary logo.
A standout feature of this release is the newly sculpted “Spear of Gaius.” Not only does it boast an imposing length exceeding 370mm, but its unique sculpt and texture, enhanced by clear parts, truly bring it to life, making it a distinctive highlight of this product alongside the Shogouki unit itself.
The dedicated black-molded display stand features an elegant holographic foil design of the anniversary logo. To cater to your display preferences, the set also includes interchangeable left and right wrist parts specifically designed to hold the spear, along with joint parts for dynamic aerial displays.
It’s important to note that the main unit and armaments, such as Evangelion Shogouki itself, which embody the concept of a “steel giant with steel muscles” as designed by the mechanical designer for the main series, Yamashita Ikuto, are identical in content to the “METAL BUILD Evangelion Shogouki” that was released in February 2019.
