Anime! Anime! is once again asking readers to choose the anime songs that bring the most excitement to karaoke. The reader survey, titled “What Ani-Song Gets Karaoke Going?”, accepts free-form answers and closes on October 9.
The call comes ahead of Karaoke Culture Day on October 17. The day was established by Zenkoku Karaoke Jigyousha Kyoukai, the national karaoke business association, to commemorate its founding.
For anime fans, karaoke is a place to enjoy favorite anison to the fullest. An intro alone can spark cheers, everyone can sing along, and fans sometimes even recreate choreography. Many readers have likely had such lively experiences.
Eligible answers include theme songs and character songs connected to anime works, such as TV broadcasts, films, streaming titles, and OVAs. Each person may submit one response. Basic information such as gender and age is optional, so participants can skip those fields.
Responses can be submitted through the official survey form. Anime! Anime! says results will be published once they are compiled.
2025 Results
In the 2025 edition, third place went to “Lilac” from Boukyaku Battery, while second place went to “Idol” from Oshi no Ko. The first-place song reached the top spot for the sixth consecutive year.
About the Survey
Anime! Anime! describes the poll as part of an awareness survey about readers’ current interest in and attention to anime works and characters. The results are not meant to rank any character or work as better or worse. The team hopes the article will help readers discover new works and characters and deepen their understanding and interest.
