The official website for the television anime adaptation of Firehead‘s Yasei no Last Boss ga Arawareta! (A Wild Last Boss Appeared!) light novel revealed additional cast, the opening theme, and first promotional video for the second season on Tuesday. The new season is scheduled to premiere on Tokyo MX, BS Asahi, and Kansai TV in October 2026.

Japanese rock band Suspended 4th is performing the opening theme “Melodic Impact,” which is previewed in the promotional video.

Horiuchi Yuuya (Nijiyon Animation) is directing the anime at WAO World, with Fudeyasu Kazuyuki (Black Clover) handling the series composition. Ebisawa Maiko (Undead Unluck animation director) is designing the characters. Technoboys Pulcraft Green-Fund (Kakegurui) is composing the music.
Production Details
Produced by WAO World, the first season aired as a 12-episode series in Fall 2025. Crunchyroll simulcast the anime with subtitles and later with dubs in multiple languages.
Source Material
Firehead began penning the action fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in October 2015. Earth Star Entertainment later acquired the series and began publishing the light novel in print under its Earth Star Novel imprint with illustrations by YahaKo in February 2016. The ninth and final volume was published in April 2019.
Hazuki Tsubasa began drawing a manga adaptation in Comic Earth☆Star in June 2017. Earth Star Entertainment shipped the 11th volume in November 2025.
J-Novel Club licensed both the light novel and manga in English for digital release in April 2020 and January 2024, respectively. The light novel’s ninth and final volume was released in July 2022, and the tenth manga volume went on sale on April 22.
