Originating in America, basketball swiftly gained popularity in Japan after the war, spreading through school education and club activities. The 1990s saw a massive boom for the sport, and it’s no surprise that the world of anime is brimming with characters who dedicate themselves to basketball! From rookies who quickly rise to prominence despite just learning the rules, to supportive captains who uplift their companions both on and off the court, the portrayal of these characters is incredibly diverse and engaging.

Please Note:
- This survey is open to characters from 2D content, including anime (TV broadcasts, movies, streaming, OVA, etc.), games, CD series, and manga.
- Each person may submit only one response.
- Basic information such as gender and age are optional, so feel free to participate even if you prefer not to provide them. Everyone is welcome to join!
The deadline for submissions is December 2nd. We’ll publish the exciting results as soon as they’re compiled, so keep an eye out!
