About `Hataraku Saibou`
For those unfamiliar, `Hataraku Saibou` (also known as Cells at Work!) is a phenomenal manga series created by Shimizu Akane. It captivated audiences with its fresh and utterly unique premise: anthropomorphizing the cells within the human body! This innovative concept quickly propelled it to widespread fame.
The manga saw its highly anticipated TV anime adaptation in 2018, which further boosted its popularity, leading to a massive success with over 10 million copies in circulation across the series. In a testament to its enduring appeal, a live-action movie incorporating the world of the spin-off series `Hataraku Saibou BLACK` was also released in 2024.
