The first season of this charming series was produced by Studio KAI and consisted of 12 episodes. The source material is a school romance manga created by Kawahara Kazune—the acclaimed author behind series like Ore Monogatari!!. The story began its serialization in Bessatsu Margaret magazine back in June 2021. Published by Shueisha, the manga has been going strong with volume releases; the 12th volume was released on August 25, and the 13th volume is already scheduled to hit stores on December 24.

For international fans, the manga has been licensed in English by VIZ Media. They picked up the rights in May 2024 and have been steadily releasing volumes. The fourth English volume was shipped on December 2, and the fifth volume is currently scheduled for release on March 3, 2026.
