Introducing the Doraemon Koshu Inden Accessory Series
Get ready for some exquisite new additions to the Doraemon-themed “Koshu Inden” small item collection! For those unfamiliar, “Inden” is a captivating traditional craft where artisans apply intricate patterns to dyed deer leather. These particular pieces are brought to life by the revered workshop Inden no Yamamoto, a bastion dedicated to preserving this centuries-old technique.

A Quick Look at the Beloved Doraemon
Doraemon is, of course, the iconic national masterpiece by the legendary manga artist Fujiko F. Fujio. The anime adaptation has won the hearts of millions, young and old, with its heartwarming tales of a futuristic cat robot, Doraemon, and his mission to help the perpetually unlucky Nobita grow into a capable adult. You can catch the ongoing TV anime every Saturday at 5:00 PM across the TV Asahi network.
The franchise continues to thrive on the big screen. March 2025 saw the release of Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no E Sekai Monogatari (the 45th-anniversary film, which can be translated as Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Sketchbook Story). Fans can also look forward to Eiga Doraemon: Shin Nobita no Kaitei Kiganjou on February 27, 2026, a fresh retelling that promises new emotions (this title can be translated as Doraemon the Movie: The New Nobita and the Castle of the Undersea Devil).

The Second Wave of Koshu Inden Goodies
This second installment of the Doraemon Koshu Inden series is something special. It features a brand-new “Mini Wallet” model and marks the triumphant return of the “Card Case”—a reissue of the design that sold out in a heartbeat during its initial run, now available for order once more.
Inden craft has a storied history, with roots in deer leather bags reportedly favored by the famed warlord Takeda Shingen. In the Koshu style, patterns are meticulously applied to the leather using lacquer and stencils. Each item in this collection is a testament to masterful skill, delicately capturing the whimsical world of Doraemon in a beautiful fusion of heritage and playfulness. The color lineup now includes classic Black and a newly added, elegant Taupe.
Doraemon Koshu Inden Mini Wallet
This piece features lustrous deer leather adorned with three-dimensional lacquer motifs of Doraemon and his iconic “secret gadgets,” resulting in a product that balances high quality with a touch of humor.
Despite its compact size (approximately 9.5cm H x 11cm W x 2cm D), it boasts impressive storage: six card pockets, three total open pockets (inside and out), and a two-compartment bill section. The external coin pouch opens wide for easy access, adding to its practical charm.

Doraemon Koshu Inden Card Case
This is the revived version of the popular “Card Case” from the previous sale, brought back by popular demand. Its simple structure perfectly highlights the supple quality of the deer leather (the Inden section) and the rich, expressive texture unique to Inden work.
With dimensions of approximately 7cm H x 11.8cm W x 1.5cm D, it offers neat, two-tier storage to organize cards by use. The inside of the flap is ideal for credit cards or transit IC cards. To elevate the mood, the flap’s underside and gusset are accented with blue and yellow leather—colors inspired by Doraemon himself—complementing the main body color.
