About Kuroshitsuji
Kuroshitsuji (also known as Black Butler) is the hit manga series by Toboso Yana, serialized in Monthly G Fantasy. It tells the tale of Sebastian Michaelis, the impeccably skilled butler of the noble Phantomhive family, and his master, the young Earl Ciel Phantomhive, who operates as the “Queen’s Watchdog” in the shadowy underworld of 19th century England.
The series first leaped to anime in 2008, sparking a beloved franchise with sequels like Kuroshitsuji II (2010) and Kuroshitsuji Book of Circus (2014), followed by OVAs such as Kuroshitsuji Book of Murder and the theatrical film Kuroshitsuji Book of the Atlantic. The anime adaptation continued with Kuroshitsuji -Yagaku Gakkou Hen- (Boarding School Arc) in April 2024, and the current TV anime, Kuroshitsuji -Midori no Majo Hen- (Green Witch Arc), which began in April 2025. The franchise also saw a musical, “Kuroshitsuji ~Midori no Majo to Jinrou no Mori~”, debut in September 2025.
