Mizumori Ado’s “Cute Culture” Takes Over one’sterrace with a Sweet Retro Fair
Get ready for a major dose of nostalgic moe! A huge collection of items from artist Mizumori Ado, a symbol of Japan’s “kawaii culture,” is coming together for a special fair. Titled “Motto Motto LOVE Ado-chan” (“Love Ado-chan More and More”), the event will be held at all one’sterrace stores from Wednesday, January 7th, to Wednesday, February 11th, 2026.
The Timeless Artist Behind the Kawaii
Mizumori Ado is a rare, multi-talented artist who shines across genres as a painter, illustrator, jazz singer, and actress. She first caught public attention with her striking performance of singing while painting with both hands on an acrylic board. Her illustrations feel both nostalgically familiar and fresh to everyone, garnering popularity across generations.
Leading Japan’s “kawaii” sensibility for decades, a Mizumori Ado fair was also held in February 2025. Due to its positive reception, the limited-time fair “Motto Motto LOVE Ado-chan” is being held again in 2026 at one’sterrace, a store-type brand found in shopping centers across Japan that offers a wide variety of daily living goods.
