These days, female voice actors are expanding their horizons far beyond anime dubbing and movie voiceovers, venturing into idol activities and acting. The year 2025 saw the release of numerous photobooks packed with their charm.

With that in mind, this article introduces eight photobooks by female seiyuu released in 2025.

Uchida Maaya “Sakuranbo Bon.”

The official visual book “Sakuranbo Bon.” by voice actress Uchida Maaya, known for roles like Takanashi Rikka in Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! (which can be translated as Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!) and Norman in Yakusoku no Neverland (The Promised Neverland).

This book features previously unreleased shots from six years worth of premium gravure photos, alongside newly taken gravure from Okinawa and Fukushima. The interview pages share her feelings about the fans who have walked with her for 15 years as a voice actress and 10 years as an artist, and it includes a Q&A section answering questions from her fan club members. It’s crafted to offer fresh enjoyment even for her most dedicated supporters.

Kubota Miyu “Femme Fatale”

The photobook “Femme Fatale” by voice actress Kubota Miyu, also known for activities with the seiyuu idol unit i☆Ris and her role as Asaka Karin in Love Live! Nijigasaki Gakuen School Idol Doukoukai (Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club).

With the theme of “a journey towards becoming an adult woman,” the book captures her innocent, joyful smiles while traveling and her alluring look in an Ao Dai, of course, but she also challenges herself with liberating swimsuit shots and her first-ever lingerie cuts. It’s her most mature and daring book to date. The included photos present a more grown-up and sensual impression than before, and through Kubota’s various expressions in the foreign land of Vietnam, the title suggests a whole story.

Sasaki Kotoko “Akegata no Yume”

The first photobook “Akegata no Yume” by voice actress Sasaki Kotoko, known for her role as Yuugiri Tsumuri in Love Live! Hasunosora Gakuen School Idol Club.

Her debut photobook is conceptualized around “the current me.” Primarily featuring a shoot in Saga, a place she currently wanted to visit, it also includes a homecoming shoot in her hometown of Honjou City, Saitama Prefecture to look back on her journey, and shots with her beloved cat, Ash-kun, showing her true self. She participated from the very first planning meeting, discussing outfit directions and desired compositions. The book is packed with diverse versions of “the current me,” from natural expressions to “what I think nobody has seen before” surprising sides.

Liyuu “Hitomi”

The photobook “Hitomi” by Liyuu from Shanghai, China, known for her role as Tang Keke in Love Live! Superstar!! and her activities as a member of Liella!.

This long-awaited second photobook, coming about three years after her last, is set in Bangkok and Pattaya, Thailand, featuring an emotional content where she fully expresses herself. It also includes her first swimsuit shots. Furthermore, it captures scenes like her happily interacting with elephants in Pattaya, a languid expression with a striking ribbon around her neck, and a scene along a train platform that feels like the beginning of a journey.

Ogura Yui “Yuito Pia”

The photobook “Yuito Pia” by voice actress Ogura Yui, known for roles like Mary in Pocket Monsters (Pokémon), Kagayaki Homare in HUGtto! Precure, and Manhattan Cafe in Uma Musume Pretty Derby.

“Yuito Pia” captures Yui’s radiant final moments of her 20s. The theme she chose is “a journey to find happiness,” playing on her age of 29 (“fuku,” meaning good fortune). The shoot took place in Finland, a Nordic country ranked #1 in world happiness and known for its beautiful nature and rich culture. Yui enjoyed strolling through the cute streets of the capital Helsinki and the old town Porvoo in spring, showing relaxed expressions in a hotel with refined design. Matching 13 different outfits to the scenes, this book is filled with her signature transparent beauty, living up to her nickname “the beauty leader of the voice acting world.”

Emori Aya “Kousai”

The photobook “Kousai” by voice actress Emori Aya, known for her role as Kizuna Natsumi in Love Live! Superstar!! and her activities as a member of the school idol group Liella!.

Following the flow of her second photobook ‘Seisai,’ this volume consists entirely of newly-shot photos with all-new outfits. It’s packed with content that shows Aya’s charm to the fullest, including scenes of her happily exploring the streets of Okinawa, relaxing in a room, and playing energetically in a swimsuit.

Kosakai Yurie “Suki Desu yo ne”

The first photobook “Suki Desu yo ne” by voice actress Kosakai Yurie, known for roles like Yoshikawa Yuki in Horimiya and Pekora in Jashin-chan Dropkick.

This is a new form of photobook specializing in her transparent “voice.” Set in the eternal summer country of Singapore, against backdrops like Marina Bay Sands and lush gardens, she reveals bold sides never seen before. Under the direction of photographer Hosoi Kojiro, she also attempts her first lingerie shots. This book condenses the charm of Yurie, who has become even more beautiful after turning 30.

Onishi Aguri “LONG VACATION”

The photobook “LONG VACATION” by voice actress Onishi Aguri, known for her role as Uehara Ayumu in Love Live! Nijigasaki Gakuen School Idol Doukoukai and Carla in Kono Healer, Mendokusai (Don’t Hurt Me, My Healer!).

The shoot took place in the southern country of Vietnam. It’s filled with bright, lively shots of her enjoying even the hiccup of a sudden rain shower in the open environment. It also features her first swimsuit appearance, resulting in a work packed with precious shots.
