New Cast and Staff Unveiled for Upcoming Fantasy Adventure
Exciting news for fans of fantasy light novels! At the GA Fes 2026 event, celebrating GA’s 20th anniversary, fresh details were dropped for the much-anticipated anime adaptation of Koko wa Ore ni Makasete Saki ni Ike to Itte kara 10-nen ga Tattara Densetsu ni Natteita. (also known as I Became a Legend After My 10 Year-Long Last Stand.). The series is set to premiere in April 2026, and we’ve got a bunch of new names joining the project.

As previously announced, the anime is directed by Kanbe Hiroyuki (known for Plunderer) at studio Gekkou. The series composition is handled by Hirota Mitsutaka (from Edens Zero), and character designs are by Maziro, who also serves as chief animation director.
About the Source Material
Koko wa Ore ni Makasete Saki ni Ike to Itte kara 10-nen ga Tattara Densetsu ni Natteita. started as a web novel penned by Ezogingitsune on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website from June 2018 to January 2021. The light novel version, with illustrations by DeeCHA (who worked on Yuusha Party wo Tsuihou sareta Shiromadoushi, S-Rank Boukensha ni Hirowareru), is published by SB Creative under its GA Novel label. The seventh volume was released in July 2022.
A manga adaptation by Abeno Chaco (of Escha & Logy no Atelier fame) began serialization on the Manga UP! app and website in August 2019. Square Enix has published up to 18 volumes, with the latest hitting shelves on October 7.
For English-speaking fans, Square Enix licensed the manga adaptation in November 2021. The chapters are available on Comikey and Manga UP! since June and July 2022, respectively.
Event and Release Details
The new information was revealed at the GA Fes 2026 event, which commemorates the 20th anniversary of GA. While a teaser promotional video was showcased, fans will have to wait until April 2026 for the anime to air. Stay tuned for more updates as the premiere approaches!
