Fire Force Rages On: Episode 13 Preview & Info for “San no Sho” 2nd Cour
The heat is turning up! For the TV anime ‘Enn Enn no Shouboutai’ (Fire Force), the third season ‘Enn Enn no Shouboutai San no Sho’ is kicking off its second cour. Ahead of the broadcast, the synopsis and preview screens for the 13th episode (Episode 13) titled “Mujikaku” (Unconscious) have been released, set to air starting Friday, January 9, 2026.
What is ‘Enn Enn no Shouboutai’?
Based on the scorching dark fantasy manga by Atsushi Ookubo, which was serialized in ‘Weekly Shounen Magazine’ from 2015 to 2022 and has sold over 20 million copies worldwide. The story is set in a world living in fear of “Spontaneous Human Combustion,” a phenomenon where ordinary people suddenly burst into flames, becoming destructive infernal creatures known as “Infernals.” It follows the fiery journey of Shinra Kusakabe, a boy who joins the Special Fire Force with the dream of becoming a hero, as he and his companions battle these Infernals, investigate the combustion phenomenon, and unravel the world’s greatest secrets.
The TV anime, with animation by david production, saw Yuki Yase direct the first season, with Tatsuya Minamikawa taking the helm for the second and third seasons. The cast features Gakuto Kajiwara as Shinra Kusakabe, alongside Yuusuke Kobayashi as Arthur Boyle, Kazuya Nakai as Akitaru Oobi, Kenichi Suzumura as Takehisa Hinawa, Saeko Kamijou as Maki Oze, M・A・O as Iris, Aoi Yuuki as Tamaki Kotatsu, Taku Yashiro as Vulcan Joseph, and Daisuke Sakaguchi as Viktor Licht. The series has aired its first season (壱ノ章) in 2019, second season (弐ノ章) in 2020, and the first cour of the third season (参ノ章) from April to June 2025.
Episode 13 “Mujikaku” (Unconscious) Synopsis
While witnessing the world before the Great Catastrophe, Shinra loses consciousness. When he next awakens, three months have passed and a fifth giant pillar has appeared.
Furthermore, Shinra himself finds himself restrained in an unfamiliar room. Just as he’s panicking, unable to understand the situation, who is it that comes to visit him!?
