Voice actress Mitsuishi Kotono, best known as the voice of Usagi Tsukino in Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon, has delighted fans by drawing the iconic heroine on a potato chip package. The artwork was shared on her X (formerly Twitter) account on June 30, 2026, in celebration of Usagi Tsukino’s birthday.
In her post, Mitsuishi wrote: “I drew a limited-edition, one-of-a-kind original potato chip package to celebrate Usagi Tsukino Sailor Moon’s birthday. Happy to see and eat. Usagi, thank you for always giving me energy. After this, Mitsuishi enjoyed it deliciously.” The photo shows a black-and-white Calbee potato chip bag with a hand-drawn Sailor Moon on the front.
Fans quickly flooded the comments with praise and requests for official merchandise. Reactions included: “This absolutely needs to be made into merchandise!” “It’s so divine I can’t look directly at it. Please make it into goods!!!” “Mitsuishi the painter! So cute!” “A precious original illustration by Kotono-san.” “This is the thing I want most out of everything so far.” “I really want this to be turned into merchandise.”
The original Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon manga began serialization in 1992, and the franchise marked its 30th anniversary in January 2022. A “30th Anniversary Project” is currently underway. On the same day as Mitsuishi’s post, the official website and X account also released a color illustration by creator Naoko Takeuchi to commemorate the birthdays of Usagi Tsukino and Chibiusa.
