The romantic comedy manga Koi seyo Mayakashi Tenshi-domo (Love, You Deceitful Angels) is getting a TV anime adaptation, set to air in 2027. The announcement was accompanied by a celebratory illustration from the original creator, Uzuki Coco.
Serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Dessert, the series has surpassed 2.25 million copies in cumulative circulation. It follows Katsura Otogi, a girl who is instantly hailed as a beauty upon entering school. She is appointed class representative, but the vice representative, Ichi-kun (Ninomae), is also known as a handsome boy. Otogi, however, has a hidden blunt and combative personality beneath her perfect facade. While she is drawn to the seemingly flawless Ichi-kun, she can’t help but wonder if he too has a secret side. The story unfolds as two people pretending to be perfect deceive each other (or so it seems).
Since its debut in 2023, the manga has been a hit, with readers captivated by the gap between the ‘perfect girl’ and ‘perfect boy.’ Now, fans can look forward to the long-awaited TV anime adaptation in 2027. To mark the occasion, Uzuki Coco contributed a commemorative illustration featuring Otogi and Ichi-kun.
The TV anime Koi seyo Mayakashi Tenshi-domo is scheduled to broadcast in 2027. Official accounts on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram have also been launched, promising more updates to come.
