milet Returns with a New Single for “Sousou no Frieren” Season 2
Singer-songwriter milet is set to make a comeback with her new CD single “The Story of Us”, scheduled for release on Wednesday, March 4th. This marks her first CD release in about a year.
The single features the ending theme for the highly anticipated second season of the TV anime “Sousou no Frieren” (also known internationally as Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End), which begins broadcasting on Friday, January 16th. Alongside the main track, the release includes the new song “Trace” and freshly arranged, re-recorded versions of the first season’s ending theme, “Anytime Anywhere”. These new takes include a piano session and an acoustic guitar & cello session, offering a fresh vibe to a beloved song.
Exclusive Artwork and Visuals Revealed
Accompanying this announcement is the first look at the jacket covers for the single’s various editions and some stunning new artist photos. The limited edition “Anime” version jacket boasts an incredible original illustration by Madhouse, the very studio behind the anime, featuring the protagonist Frieren and the hero Himmeru. This special edition will also come with a set of three anime illustration stickers.

Furthermore, a streaming and download support campaign will kick off for “The Story of Us” starting at 00:00 on January 16th. Fans who listen to the track on supported services during the campaign period will receive special wallpapers for their devices, with different illustrations available depending on the service.

Details for CD purchase bonuses have also been unveiled. Customers who pre-order or purchase the single at participating stores and online shops will receive store-exclusive, first-come-first-served goodies. These include an original mega-jacket from Amazon.co.jp, an original postcard from HMV (all stores), and an original smartphone sticker from TOWER RECORDS (all stores), among other unique items.

The single will be available in three formats: the limited production Anime Edition, a First Press Limited Edition (CD+Blu-ray), and a Standard Edition with first-press packaging.
