Okiraku Ryoushu no Tanoshii Ryouchi Bouei is a fantasy series based on the hit light novel by Akaike Mune, which has surpassed 3 million copies in circulation (including e-books) as of December 2025. For the anime, director Tatamiya Tetsuya and studio NAZ are teaming up to bring this unique story to life.
What’s This Anime About?
The story follows Van, the fourth son of a Marquis family who was reborn in another world with memories of his past life. Hailed as a child prodigy from a young age, great things were expected of him… until his magical aptitude test at age eight. He was found to possess “Production Magic“—a type of magic considered utterly useless in this world’s combat-oriented society.
Branded as unfit for nobility and exiled from his family home, Van is sent off to become the lord of a remote, nameless village. It seems like a dead-end assignment. But what if his so-called “worthless” magic, which can produce anything as long as he has the materials, holds the key to something extraordinary? Watch as Van’s laid-back yet determined spirit transforms his tiny, poor village into a thriving, powerful fortress city that attracts all sorts of people!
