For the uninitiated, Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru. (often shortened to Oregairu, which can be translated as My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU) is a quintessential romantic comedy about a “continually mistaken” youth. The story follows the cynical high school boy Hikigaya Hachiman, who is forced to join the “Service Club.” Through club activities, he gets tangled up with the stunning but brutally sharp-tongued classmate Yukinoshita Yukino and the friendly, popular gal Yuigahama Yui, who belongs to the class’s upper social caste.
The series originated as a light novel written by Watari Wataru with illustrations by Ponkan8, published by Shogakukan’s Gagaga Bunko from 2011 to 2019. It was adapted into a beloved anime, with Season 1 airing in April 2013, Season 2 (Oregairu. Zoku) in April 2015, and the final season (Oregairu. Kan) concluding the story in July 2020.
