A Saga That Redefined Anime

Ever since the TV series Shinseiki Evangelion first aired in 1995, it has overwhelmed audiences with its profound story and visual artistry, forever altering the landscape of global animation. Starting in 2007, chief director Anno Hideaki undertook a complete rebuild of the story with a new tetralogy of films.

This journey began with 2007’s Evangelion Shin Gekijouban: Jo, followed by 2009’s Evangelion Shin Gekijouban: Ha, and 2012’s Evangelion Shin Gekijouban: Q. The saga reached its epic conclusion with the fourth film, Shin Evangelion Gekijouban, released in 2021.
