Celebrating Wakayama Shion’s Birthday! What’s Your Favorite Character She’s Played?
February 10th marks the birthday of voice actress Wakayama Shion.
Wakayama Shion started her career as a child actor before making her voice acting debut. She received the Best Rookie Award at the 17th Seiyu Awards.
The year 2025 saw her take on main character roles in numerous titles like Dandadan, Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi (also known as The Amagami Household), and Momentalily Lily. For 2026, she’s set to star in Marriage Toxin, Matakorosarete Shimatta no desu ne, Tantei-sama, Kirio Fan Club, and Tensei Shita Dai Seijo wa, Seijo de Aru Koto o Hita Kakusu (which can be translated as The Reincarnated Great Saint Hides That She’s a Saint).
Here at Anime! Anime!, we’ve had the pleasure of interviewing her before, for the movie Gridman Universe and the TV anime Suki na Ko ga Megane wo Wasureta.
