About the Liar Game Manga
The anime is based on the incredibly popular psychological manga by Kaitani Shinobu. The story originally hooked readers in Young Jump magazine, running from February 2005 all the way to January 2015. Shueisha compiled the intense saga into 19 volumes, with the final one landing in April 2015.
The “Liar Game” universe even includes some earlier works. There’s an anthology called Liar Game: Roots of A that was published from 1999 to 2004, and a one-shot sequel that came out in February 2010, showing the lasting power of this deceptive concept.
