From the second season of the TV anime Sousou no Frieren, the synopsis and preview screenshots for episode 5 (overall episode 33) titled “Northern Plateau Logistics”, which begins airing on Friday, February 13, 2026, have been released.
About Sousou no Frieren
Sousou no Frieren is a manga serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday, with original story by Yamada Kanehito and art by Abe Tsukasa. Set in a world “after” the demon king was defeated by the hero and his party, it follows the journey of Frieren, a millennium-old mage who helped take down the demon king, as she travels with new companions to understand human hearts. The manga has become a massive hit, with worldwide cumulative sales surpassing 32 million copies.
The TV anime adaptation aired its first season from September 2023 to March 2024, and the second season continues Frieren’s quest to the land where souls rest, Aureole, alongside her companions Fern and Stark. For this season, director Saitou Keiichirou from the first season has moved to a supervisory role, with director Kitagawa Tomoya at the helm and animation production by Madhouse.
Episode 5: Northern Plateau Logistics Synopsis
What’s in store for Frieren and her party this time? The episode kicks off with a reunion in a tavern town, where Frieren meets the dwarf Fass again. This guy is a serious sake enthusiast who’s been on a 200-year quest for the legendary emperor’s wine, Boshaft. He’s convinced it’s hidden at the end of a tunnel he dug himself. Will this boozy treasure hunt pay off?
But that’s not all! Things get even more interesting when the group arrives at the Norm Commerce Territory. Shockingly, it turns out that Frieren has been sitting on a massive debt from 80 years ago! How did that happen, and what does it mean for their journey?
Broadcast Details
TV anime Sousou no Frieren second season episode 5 (overall episode 33) “Northern Plateau Logistics” will be broadcast on Nippon TV network across 30 stations nationwide “FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT” from 23:00 on Friday, February 13, 2026. It will also be available for streaming on various platforms from the following day.
