Another Wave of Magic: Supporting Cast Joins “Majutsushi Kunon wa Mieteiru”
The world of Majutsushi Kunon wa Mieteiru (also known as Kunon the Sorcerer Can See) is getting a little louder and a lot more interesting. The official team behind the hot new anime has just pulled back the curtain on a trio of talented voice actors set to bring key supporting characters to life. This fantasy series, which just started its journey this January, is already turning heads.

The Creative Minds Behind the Magic
This promising adaptation is in capable hands. The project is being led by director Hideaki Ooba (known for Koroshi Ai) over at Platinum Vision studio. Handling the story’s flow is series composer and scriptwriter Yukie Sugawara (of Sentouin, Haken shimasu! fame).
The distinctive look of the characters comes from the design duo Youko Satou (from Watashi no Oshi wa Akuyaku Reijou.) and Toshimitsu Kobayashi (who worked on Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou). To tie it all together, the score is being composed by Shunsuke Takizawa, who recently set the tone for Kimi no Koto ga Daidaidaidaidaisuki na 100-nin no Kanojo.
From Web Novel to Your Screen
The story of Kunon began as a web novel penned by author Umikaze Minamino on Shousetsuka ni Narou back in August 2021. Its popularity led Kadokawa to pick it up for their Kadokawa Books imprint in March 2022, with gorgeous illustrations provided by Laruha. The light novel is still going strong, with its eighth volume released in December 2025.
For manga fans, artist La-na started a comic adaptation in Monthly Comic Alive in April 2022, which has already reached seven compiled volumes. Good news for English readers: Yen Press has licensed both the novel and manga. Their next releases are the fifth novel volume on January 27 and the second manga volume on March 24.
