Get Ready for the Flames! New Gintama Movie and a Massive Giveaway
The brand-new, fully animated theatrical feature film, Shin Gekijouban Gintama -Yoshiwara Dai Enjou- (which can be translated as New Theatrical Edition Gintama -The Great Yoshiwara Fire-), is set to blaze into theaters across Japan on February 13, 2026. The hype train is leaving the station, and it’s bringing some incredible loot! The first wave of theatergoer premiums has been announced: a special manga-style booklet titled “Dai Enjou Kan” (The Great Fire Volume). This is a limited-quantity, one-week-only giveaway, and it’s packing over 60 pages of exclusive content.

Acting as the grand finale for the “Gintama 20th Anniversary Project,” this film brings one of the manga’s most emotionally charged and epic arcs—the “Yoshiwara Enjou-hen” (Yoshiwara Fire Arc)—to the big screen with completely new animation. It’s being presented in a stunning widescreen [CinemaScope] format for maximum impact.
The story plunges into the lawless underground pleasure district of Yoshiwara Tougenkyou. Here, Sakata Gintoki and his merry band of misfits confront a massive shadow organization, fighting to protect the bonds of family. Original creator Sorachi Hideaki is involved as the “Super Advisor Gorilla.” Sixteen years after the TV anime adaptation aired in 2009, the “Yoshiwara Fire Arc” is getting a massive “Complete Version” upgrade with scaled-up action and drama.
With the February 13th premiere just around the corner, details on that awesome first-attendee bonus are here! The “Dai Enjou Kan” is designed to look just like a volume of the Gintama manga. But it’s so much more than a simple booklet.
This super-sized premium includes exclusive movie setting artwork and a legendary “All Generations Editors Roundtable Discussion.” For this, all nine of Sorachi-sensei’s past and present editors gathered together (fully prepared for the potential backlash) to spill untold behind-the-scenes stories from the serialization of the “Yoshiwara Fire Arc.” It also features the creator himself answering fan questions from the “#TellMeSorachiSensei” campaign held last November.
And that’s not all! The booklet will also contain the almost-mythical, Sorachi-drawn Gintama special chapter that was first revealed at the “Gintama Matsuri 2023 (tentative)” anime event. This is truly a forbidden treasure trove of content you can only get here. The cover will feature newly drawn artwork of Gintoki’s profile, which was previously used as a teaser visual.
Make sure to mark your calendars! Shin Gekijouban Gintama -Yoshiwara Dai Enjou- ignites theaters on February 13, 2026. Don’t miss your chance to see the film and grab this super-special, content-packed “Dai Enjou Kan” giveaway available from opening day!
